Warrick Newman recorded Beacon LP over a long stretch of time between 2010 and 2011. It’s an insular concept album. It was recorded onto various mediums late at night, really loud, fending off kittens from patch cables. It was mostly made during hard times and through sleep pattern fluctuations. Words and music were written as they were sung, played and recorded - a true process of autonomy.
